A
confused reaction after Mom finally breaks a 35- year silence and reveals to me
the truth about Santa Claus.
Why was the cat afraid of the Christmas tree?
Because of the tree's bark!
Greg
furiously retorts with a book of cat jokes, all of which he insists are funnier
than the caption above. But he immediately loses credibility by referring
to it as his "cat-alog."
I think we can all agree: That's not a "do rag" ... it's a don't
rag!
Smoked
pheasant? Delicious!
Grandma brags about her great granddaughter, whose name is Annika. "Hanukkah!?,"
Grandpa replies. "I don't have eight nights to waste on this
present-opening nonsense. I thought we were celebrating Christmas!"
Reminder: New hearing-aid batteries might make a good gift for Grandpa next
year.
Dad
opens his gift from me, and tries valiantly to convince me that he doesn't
already have one of these Syracuse sweatshirts. And he'd have succeeded
... if not for the tiny detail of the shirt that he is currently wearing.
Chris is equally disillusioned with Mom's version of the Santa Claus story.
Hey
Dad, how many Syracuse sweatshirts are you wearing at this very moment?
Backstage at the Thomas Family Holiday Pageant:
Apparently confused by the line "two turtle doves," Marguerite and Mom
almost come to blows over who'll get to portray the dove and who will be
relegated to the role of the lowly turtle.
