The whole gang pauses for a moment to wish our friends Christine and Rob all the best at
their July 12, 2003, wedding reception. Afterward, I take the young groom aside for
an important wedding night talk, revealing to him everything
I know about the female mind.
A picture of three wise men. Unfortunately, they're somewhere in
the background being obstructed by this trio of goofballs: me, Steve [a.k.a. "Sweet
Meat"], and Mark.
After much contemplation, Mark and Marcy go through with the operation to become Siamese
twins conjoined at the head.
My Mom's thumb makes an surprise appearance, joining Mark and me to
wish the young couple well.
Sweet Meat's date, Laura, demonstrates a strong knowledge of American Sign Language by
signing "I am close to Steve" [left]. Later, she offers a more familiar
sign [right] that I choose to interpret as "Please, please, please, please put this
picture on the Internet, Jeff."
I know that I usually lie and make up stuff for these captions, but I
swear that this really is Laura's reaction upon seeing me stick out my tongue.
Left: Patty, with her husband, who prefers to keep a "low Internet
profile."
Right: Me, with Steve and Christine, who also probably would rather remain off
the site, but have no choice in the matter.
In what was the perfect end to a perfect evening, Steve offers party
guests "free pony rides."
