Marguerite, Glenn and I offer visitors the jeffthomas.com Memorial Day
salute. Meanwhile, it takes Aunt Liv and Aunt Wil all of their combined strength
to restrain Mom from doing the same. [Due to their tendency to cover
the camera lens, Mom's thumbs must adhere to a strict restraining
order.]
Here's Uncle Russ, who briefly was Sean Connery's stunt double, in an outtake
from "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen." Russ was fired for being
neither extraordinary nor a gentlemen.
In a sweet sibling moment, older brother Earl sings my Dad to sleep with
a beautiful lullaby. Later, Earl would cover Dad's hand with shaving
cream and proceed to tickle his nose with a feather.
Grandpa approves of the shaving cream gag.
Through the use of a device they refer to as a "photo album," the family
attempts to convince Jeff that methods exist to share pictures that do
not involve an Internet browser.
Mom won't like this picture that I took, but I need to include it
because it makes me feel tall, which rarely ever happens.
Finally, "The Unknown Soldiers" [Mom and Aunt Liv] get ready to square
off against "The American Legion of Doom" [Jeff and Marguerite] in some
traditional Memorial Day tag-team wrestling action.
