Sure, Uncle Earl was showered with gifts, fine food and the admiration of friends and
family who gathered to honor the 60th anniversary of his birth. But the most special
gesture of all came from his wife Liv, when she finally agreed to let him go out in public
wearing his favorite "lucky hat."
As if dealing with The Big Six-Oh wasn't already difficult enough, a
wiseguy feline "friend" chimes in with the news that Earl's age is actually 205,
when measured in cat years.
Grandpa reacts enthusiastically to Uncle Russ' cover version of Roy Orbison's "Blue
Bayou."
The Thomas Men:
Younger brothers Dad and Russ [comfortably seated] force their older siblings Glenn and
Earl to stand up for this pictureas a political statement against "reverse
ageism." You'll remember Glenn from last Summer's "2nd Annual 60th Birthday Bash."
The Thomas Women: Mom, Aunt Wil, Aunt Liv, Grandma and
Marguerite
... and believe it or not, four-fifths of the lovely women pictured here actually entered
the Thomas clan by choice! Marguerite, the only one who was "born into
it," shakes her head in disbelief.
Liv and Mom close the curtain on Earl's birthday celebration with some
lighthearted ribbing of the guest of honor. Here, they perform a homemade
vaudeville-style routine called "Which Came First, Earl or the Egg?"
